How to get a DID number
DID (Direct Inward Dialing) is your business phone number that customers call. There are three ways to get one — choose the one that suits you best.
Option 1 — A new business number (fastest)
- Contact us via the contact form or by phone and say you'd like a new number.
- Tell us which city / area code you'd like the number from (e.g. London 020).
- We check availability and assign you the number — usually the same day.
- The number is automatically connected to your receptionist.
Option 2 — Connecting an existing number
If you already have a business number (e.g. a landline with your provider), we can redirect it to Recello:
- Give us the number and details about your current provider.
- We prepare the forwarding to our exchange.
- You confirm the forwarding with your provider (or we do it together).
- From that moment the receptionist answers your number.
Option 3 — Number without forwarding (promo/test)
For testing and demonstrations we often use temporary numbers that require no changes at your provider. Ideal for getting started.
What happens with calls?
When a customer calls your DID number:
- The receptionist answers and handles the conversation 24/7
- If the customer asks for you, the call is transferred to the number you set in your company profile (owner contact phone)
- You see every call in the app with the conversation transcript
